Livingston Pole Relocation

Overview

  • Ward: Scarborough East (Ward 43)
  • Activity: Overhead Rebuild
  • Timeline: December 2012 - January 2013
  • Status: Completed

Toronto Hydro-Electric System Limited is planning to rebuild the aging overhead electrical system in the community. The rebuild includes the replacement of overhead hydro equipment including poles and anchors within the City of Toronto’s public property allowance.

Electrical work will follow the completion of the project and will include the installation of electrical cable and transformers. Until the electrical work is completed, there will be two poles next to one another on the public road allowance. Following completion of the electrical work, the old pole will be removed.

The boundaries include Westlake Road (North), Galloway Road (East), Livingston Road (South), and Rowatson Road (West). Once construction begins, Toronto Hydro crews and contractors will take extra care and precaution to minimize inconveniences. Upon project completion, repair work will be completed as season, weather and schedule permits.
